Abigail "Nabby" Averill was born, 20 Aug 1805, in that part of Machias, Maine, set off in 1846 as Marshfield, the daughter of Joseph Averill and Sarah Stone; ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]} died there, 20 Jun 1882, burial place unknown; ^[5] married at Machias, 19 Jan 1826, John Wellington Elsemore. ^{[6] [7] [8]}
