T. J. (Thomas Jefferson, husband of Jane) Pierce was born in the year 1863 and died August 12, 1940, making his stay on earth 77 years. He joined the Primitive Ministry December 1, 1908. He lived and died a strong believer in Salvation of Grace. Was powerful in exhortations and doctrine. He enjoyed going to meetings and did go as long as he was able. The funeral was conducted by Gipson, of Pruden and W. A. Moyers, of Speedwell, Oscar C. Moyers of Crosbyton, Texas and John Ausmus of Speedwell, after which his body was laid to rest in the Wilson Cemetery beside his wife to wait the Resurrection or call of our dear Savior to gather his redeemed home where parting will be no more.
