Obituary

"MISS FRANCES SHANSHALA Complete arrangements for the funeral of Miss Frances Shanshala have been announced by the Leo D. Gibson Funeral Home. Visiting hours will start at 10 o’clock this morning at the funeral home, and the Parish Rosary will be recited there at 8 o’clock this evening. A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Church tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock by the Rev. Father Joseph H. Seyboldt, pastor. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren. Miss Shanshala, 44, of 130 e. 57th street, New York City, died in that city on Saturday, June 2, 1962, at 7 a.m. She was bom in Warren on February 2, 1918, and had been a resident of New York City for the past twenty-four years. She was a fashion co-ordinator for Modern Merchandising, Inc., of New York City, for fifteen years. A member of St. Patrick’s Cathedral Parish in New York City, Miss Shanshala is survived by her father and mother, John and Mary Shanshala of 20 Locust street, Warren; her brothers and sisters, Mrs. Andrew (Anna) Petro of Cleveland; Mrs. Steve (Helen) Drapac, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Belko, Lakewood, Ohio; Frank Shanshala of Greenhurst, N.Y.; Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Brooks, Mrs. Robert (Jennie) Sibble, John J. Shanshala, Walter Shanshala, Miss Eleanor Shanshala, Edward Shanshala and Michala and Michael Shanshala, all of Warren; fourteen nieces and nephews, and one grandnephew. Frances Shanshala was a graduate of Warren High School and Hunter College, she also graduated from the Princess Obelinski School of Fashion, Univeristy of Paris, Paris, France." ^[3]
