According to the handwritten manuscript of Nizamani family tree, originally written by Qazi Fateh Rasool Nizamani, Ahmed Khan Nizamani married from the village Shah-Ali Nizamani, Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab, Pakistan, and the name of his wife was Mai Thadi (ٺڊي). Mai is a common prefix for elderly women. So her name was Thadi.
The published work Tazkirah-e Nizamani mentions the wife of Ahmed Khan was from the Nizamani family of Mehrabpur, Sindh, and no name is given.
However verbal accounts mostly agree that Thadi was mother of Ahmed Khan Nizamani, and hailed from Shah Ali Nizamani village in Dera Ghazi Khan. Wife of Ahmed Khan was from Nizamanis of Mehrabpur, Sindh, Pakistan. Her name is told to be "Bano".
