Biography
Sarah Ambler Chichester was born in 1852, in Danbury, Connecticut, a daughter of George Alanson Chichester and Abigail Mary (Ambler) Chichester. Sarah married Willis H. Austin and was the mother of three sons:
- Lester Chichester Austin, born May 30, 1878, died October 14, 1878, in Danbury
- Bryon W. Austin, born August 1887
- Robert H. Austin, born May 1893, in Danbury, died 1962, in Danbury, married Marjorie Ann Boarts, in 1942
Sarah died in 1944 and is buried in the Wooster Cemetery, in Danbury. [1]
Researcher's Notes
Genealogists give the year of Sarah's birth as 1852 [2] her birth is estimated on the census as 1853. [3] However, her Find A Grave memorial and her headstone indicate she was born in 1850.
