Col. S. Thatcher's Regiment. From June 2 to June 25, and Sept. 4 to Sept. 8, 1814. Raised at Cushing. Service at Cushing.[3]

  • Death record via ledger photocopy provided by the Town of Lee, Maine which shows "Norton Jabes" was "born May 2nd 1777" with no location or parents shown. Ledger shows death of "Norton Jabez" and "Died April 5th 1861." Because the ledger is from Lee ME, then that is the purported death location. Only other person shown on ledger is purported wife Abigail Norton (not shown are her parents or maiden name) with her birth and death dates (no locations, but Lee ME assumed or purported for death location based on the source of the ledger). Previous birth date was "22 Aug 1777" which came from various genealogy or family history books, but this date "could" be a baptism date (no source).
