Biography

Samuel Chapman was born in 1678. He was the son of Samuel Chapman (b. 1654) and Ruth Ingalls (b. 1657).^[1][2][3]

He married Phebe Balch (1684-1738) on 20 Sep 1701 or 11 Mar 1702 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[4][5][6][7]

After marriage they moved to Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire. They had perhaps 12 children (listing from FS):

They moved to Greenland, NH before 1717, when seven children were baptized. After that there are only christening records for their children, not birth records.
