Biography

Born in Methuen, Mass., 23 March 1755 ; married 23 Sept. 1784 Lucy Fisher, daughter of Deacon Nathaniel and Hannah (Willard, Fisher of Needham, Mass. ; born 8 June 1764. They had eight children.

In 1776 he moved to Rochester, New Hampshire. He enlisted in the First Battalion of New Hampshire militia, Pierse Long, Colonel, and as surgeon, was t at Ticonderoga in 1777. He served as a private soldier in 1778 in the Sullivan campaign in Rhode Island. He was, in 1791 a charter member of the New Hampshire Medical Sodety. The town elected him delegate to the Constitutional Convention in 1791, and sent him for three years to the LegislatureJ' He died in Rochester, 13 Aug. 1807. His widow died 24 June 1836 in Boston, Mass.^[1]
