On 26 Apr 1930 at the time of the 1930 US Census, head of household Claude E. Young (age 45, born in OH) was employed as a Farmer and living in a home he rented in Oregon, Ohio with his wife Dora Young (age 40, born in OH), son Arthur E. Young (age 21, born in MI) employed as a Laborer at an Oil Refinery, son Claude E. Young (age 14, born in MI), daughter Dorothy E. Young (age 12, born in MI), daughter Elsie M. Young (age 11, born in MI), son Irving E. Young (age 9, born in MI), daughter Hazel I. Young (age 7, born in MI), son Harry Young (age 5, born in MI), daughter Leona R. Young (age 4, born in MI), son Harold D. Young (age 2, born in MI), and daughter Florence M. Young (age 0, born in OH). Claude was first married at age 21; Dora was first married at age 17. Both of Claude's parents were born in Ohio; Dora's father was born in Ohio and her mother in Michigan. ^[2]

Research Notes

Arthur's middle initial is printed as "F" on his headstone ^[5], but was written as "E" in the 1930 US Census. ^[6]
