Mary Berthene Haggard was born 28 Mar 1888 in Jasper, Marion County, Tennessee, USA. Her parents were William Rufus Haggard and Hannah Lee Gussie Posey Haggard.

She was married to William Lee Graham and was the mother of eight children as follows: Lila Mamie; Ethel Mae; Waymon Robert; Thelma Cleo; Lola Lee; John Aaron; Donald Howard; and Junior Carlos.

She lived at Glovers Hill until she was older and went to live with Ethel Mae Graham Cooley.
