Marvin was born October 19, 1914 in Big Spring, Meigs County, Tennessee. He was the son of Francis Arnold .

On January 28, 1939 he married Irene Jordan in Rhea County, Tennessee. ^[1][2]

He passed away September 25, 1986 in Dayton, Rhea County, Tennessee. ^[3] Marvin was laid to rest in Buttram Cemetery, Dayton, Rhea County, Tennessee, United States. ^[4]

His wife, Irene, passed away June 17, 2003 in Dayton, Rhea County, Tennessee. ^[5]
