Biography

Feliks "Felix" Borawski was born in 1877 in Swidru, Poland.[1] He was the son of Hipolit Borowski and Rose Truszkowski. In 1922 Felix filed his intention to become naturalized in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.[1] He was forty-five years old and working as a carpenter. Felix had emigrated to the United States aboard the SS Lithuania.[1][2] With him were his wife Marjanna ("Marianna" or "Mary"), Waclan/Waclaw (13, male), Kazimierz (Casimir) (11, male) and Stefanja (Stefania) (15, female).[2][3] He had arrived at Ellis Island on the 1st of September 1922 listing his sister Sabina Jarosowieczs as a relative in the United States, and his occupation as a "joiner."[3] Felix stood 5 feet and 11 inches tall, had a fair complextion, dark hair, and blue eyes.[3] While he had been born in Świdry, his wife and children had all been born in Wesigs, Poland.[3]

Felix was naturalized in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on the 10th of December 1943.[1] He had been in Cleveland for twenty-two years when his naturalization was recorded.[4]

He passed away about 1955.
