Biography

Brita was born in 1845.^[1][2]

Brita had two illegitimate children with Carl Jonasson Grape. Until 1880 she seems to have been living at her parents with her children Ida and Josua.^[3]

A moving record^[4] shows that Brita moved to Utsjoki Parish in 1891 with her two sons Josva and Arvid. This is close to the Norwegian border at the Tana river. The same year Brita joins the household in Lyngseidet where her daughter Ida works as a servant.^[5] Later they ended up at Storsteinnes in Lyngen. Brita lived at Storsteinnes until her death on 17 November1896.^[6] Brita was buried in Lyngseidet on 29 November.
