Eliza Burgess was the 2nd wife of William Thomas Dawes Sr. buried at the Burgess Cem., Jackson Co., TN; they had the following children: Matison Dawes b. abt 1866 in TN; Polly A Dawes b. abt 1867 in TN; Nancy S. Dawes b. Mar 1870 in TN; Daniel L. Dawes b. 1874 d. 1945 who married Dollie; Sarah J. Dawes b. abt 1874 in TN; George Dawes b. abt 1877 in TN d. before 1880 in TN; and Viola Dawes who married Jim Fakes.
