Marie Hayden was born December 20, 1929 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Daisy and Samuel Lee Walker. She passed away September 29, 2007 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 9 days. Marie grew up in Roger Mills County and was married to George Hayden at Strong City, OK on February 10, 1948. Marie and George continued to live East of Cheyenne at Square Top. After George passed away in the late 60's Marie went back to school and received her degree as a beautician. She opened her own beauty shop beside her house where she worked for a number of years. In 1985 she went to work at the Jarvis grocery store and later at Market Square where she ran the cash register. Marie was a member of Strong City First Baptist Church. Marie enjoyed going to garage sales and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, George David Hayden, brothers and sisters, Rosella Farmer , Anna Bingham, Mable Thornburg, Sadie McCaskle, Lester Walker, Roy Walker, Sam Ollie Walker, Alice Walker and Hattie Walker. She is survived by her 2 grandsons, George Jared Hayden and Edmond Ryan Hayden; 3 great grandchildren, Alexis Hayden, Jack Hayden and Seth Hayden; daughter-in-law, Sharon Hayden and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
