Son of John Hallett and Charity Wright, both born in New York.
Benjamin was married to Hannah Sturges on 25 Oct 1805 in Fairfield County, Connecticut. He served as a Private in Capt Samuel Smith's Co 4 Conn Mil. Hannah was mentioned on his War of 1812 pension file. He enlisted 9 Nov 1814, was discharged 12 Dec 1814. On the document: Widow says He served as Substitute for Henry Wakeman.
He passed away in 1837 in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
