Biography
Esther Libby was born in 1792 in Gorham, Maine.
She married Jonathan Files on 2 September 1811 in Gorham[1]. They had eight children[2]:
- 1. Charlotte, born 26 Jan 1813; married Mahlon Hayden
- 2. Hannah, born 13 Aug 1814; married William Plummer
- 3. Edward, born 25 Jun 1817
- 4. Allen, born 7 Nov 1820; married Eliza McKeaver
- 5. Jane, born 12 Jan 1824; married Stephen Fogg
- 6. John, born 4 Oct 1825; died 1828
- 7. John, born 10 Feb 1830
- 8. James, born 26 Nov 1836
Esther passed away on 15 April 1873[3] and is buried in North Raymond Cemetery in East Raymond, Maine[4].
