Biography

Dorcas Jordan was born on 22 February 1791 in Raymond, Maine. Her parents were Roger Jordan and Margaret (Crisp) Jordan^[1].

She married Joshua Brown around 1811. They had five children^[2]:

1. Serena, born 16 Jan 1812; died 1816

2. Sally, born 3 Dec 1813

3. Jordan, born 22 Apr 1816; married Hannah Plummer

4. Annie, born 25 Apr 1818; died 1830

5. Mark, born 29 Sep 1820; married Elizabeth Nash

After Joshua's death, she married Levi Jordan in 1823 in Raymond. They had four children^[3]:

1. Benjamin, born 3 July 1824

2. Fannie, born 15 July 1826

3. Levi, born 23 August 1828

4. Ann, born 8 January 1831

Dorcas passed away on 11 March 1849 and is buried in Raymond Hill Cemetery in Raymond, Maine^[4].
