Biography

Moses Fogg was born on 2 July 1762 in Scarborough, Maine[1]. His parents were Moses Fogg and Lydia (Larrabee) Fogg.

He married Hannah Libby on 13 July 1788 in Scarborough, Maine[2]. They had six children[3]:

1. Dorothy, born 25 Aug 1789; married Israel Harmon
2. David, born Jul 1791
3. Esther, married William Carsley
4. Daniel, born 9 Jul 1797; married Joanna Files
5. Sewell, married Dorcas Moody
6. Abiel, born 1811; married Eliza Meserve

Moses was a veteran of the Revolutionary War, enlisting in the army on 10 May 1775 and achieving the rank of 2nd Lieutenant[4].

Moses passed away on 14 January 1828 and is buried in White Rock Cemetery in Gorham, Maine[5].
