Biography
James was born about 1869. He passed away before 1910. Homer Elliott was born about the same and died before 1910. It is possible these two men are actually the same. Homer m. Mary Lanham about 1906. Its possible he ran off with Martha without getting a divorce and they got married using the name James Scott. It is also possible that the transcriber misread the name on the license and saw James Scott when it should be Homer Elliott. Have found no divorce record for Homer and Mary Lanham. Have found no marriage record for Martha and Homer. Gramma Maud always said her dad's name was Homer Elliott.

Are there any sources about this person? The linked spouse Martha Pritt is also married to Homer Elliott-22223, on the same date / location, and there are sourced children from thois union. Please advise

no sources. Gramma Maud always said her dad's name was Homer Elliott. DNA has since proven this to be true since I connect by DNA to the children of Homer's sisters. Homer supposedly married Mary Lanham about 1906. There is no evidence he and Martha Pritt ever married. The only marriage record for Martha is to James Scott. I've never seen the original certificate. I believe that the transcriber misread Homer Elliott for James Scott. Just in case i am wrong, I have included both James and Homer as husbands of Martha Pritt. All children listed as Martha's are Martha's but unknown who is the father. There were only two - my grandmother Maud Jessie/Dessie Elliott and a sister named Jem or Lovina (who when her mother remarried in 2010 was living with Martha's parents and was listed as Lovina Scott. In 1910 Martha m. Charles Joseph Beard and had other kids. Maud occasionally lived with her mother and sometimes with her grandparents.
