According to his FAG memorial, Jean was married three times.
As of 2 Nov 2018, no record of the first marriage has been found.
Jean’s second marriage was on 4 Nov 1774 at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, Louisiana to Francisca Radegonda Mayeux.[2]

Jean’s third wife was Marie Gassien Fontenelle, daughter of Jean Baptiste Nicolas Martin Roland Quirrache de Fontenelle and Marie Mayeux, whom he married on 22 Jun 1791 at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, Louisiana.[8]

Jean died on 18 Apr 1818[15] at the age of 83 years old and was buried the next day at the St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 in New Orleans, Louisiana.[16]
