Biography

Andrew was born on 1 Jul 1736 in Hopkinton, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[1] He was the son of Thomas Cook and Sarah (Burt) Cook.^[1]

From History of Plainfield by Dyer page 138, He was one of the very earliest settlers [of Plainfield], having come there previous to 1774.

He married Ruth Bigelow on 19 Mar 1759 in douglas, worcester, Massachusetts.^[2] Their children were Hannah b. 1774, John b.1776, John 2d b. 1778, Joseph b.1781, Hannah 2d b.1783, also Sarah, Lois, and Amy.

He died on 6 Mar 1814 in Plainfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts.^[3] He was buried in Pleasant Street Cemetery.^[4]
