Susannah was Choctaw.
Susannah was born about 1760 to Thomas Vaughn and his Choctaw wife he called Winifred.
Susannah married Zadock Brashears about 1778 in what is now Alabama and they had several children:

- Elizabeth
- Delilah
- Maria
- Vaughn
- Zaddock
- Sophie
She is believed to have passed away aroiund 1810.
