Biography
Justine Lamoureux was born Oct. 14, 1834 at Terrebonne and was baptized there the next day. [1] She was likely the 12th. child of 16 known children for her parents, Jean Baptiste Lamoureux and Francoise Loyer. PRDH does not have her in their family reconstruction for family No. 131166, but her individual baptism record has been found. In the parish records, her parents are recorded as Jeans Gilles Lamoureux and Francoise Loque. There is no record of any such person as Jean Gilles Lamoureux and no record of a marriage of such a couple. It is taken that the baptismal record has a made an error with the parent's names.
Justine married Joseph Labossiere on May 08, 1855 at Montréal. [2] He was the first child and a son of Francois Labossiere and Julie Gareau. Justine and Joseph had twelve known children, but two died young.

They had three more children, supposedly in Quebec, but the baptism records have not been found. There is conflicting evidence for this as Roseanna's marriage record show she was born at Marlborough. The family moved to Marlborough, MA sometime before April 1876 as their last known child, Jane was born there in April 1876.
They are found at Marlborough, MA in the 1880 census. This includes eight of their nine surviving children. US Census 1880 [5] Massachusetts-Middlesex-Marlborough Page 48, Dist 60, ED 402 P. 48, lines 40-51 Joseph Labossiere, 50; wife, Josephen, (Justine nee Lamoureux), 43; Eight children, including one married daughter and a grand daughter. Julia Labossiere, 23; her husband, Peter Bartram, 24; Andre, (Henri Treffle), Labossiere, 19; Joseph, 16; Francis, (Francois), 15; Clofos, (Cleophas), 11; Arthur, 9; Anna, 7; Eugene, 4; grand daughter, Josephine Bartram, 9 months, born MA. All others born in Canada. Census date: June 14, 1880.
They moved to Marlborough, MA sometime after 1880. Joseph passed away there in 1894 [6] and Justine in 1899. [7]
