Biography

When Mary Angele St. Martin was born on 28 Nov 1861 in Bloomington, Minnesota. Her father, Sauver, was 34, and her mother, Rose, was 30. She was part of a large French Canadian family who settled the area near Fort Snelling in Minnesota. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]

Marriage 1:
She married Kimball W. Davies and they had three daughters together and a son who died at birth; however, Willie's death record indicates female and state records indicate male. Kimball was a fireman in Minneapolis and one day he disappeared in the fall of 1894. Kimball died on 10 Aug 1932. After he left, she went to stay with her brother in 1895 and her middle daughter went to the state hospital for care of epilepsy. [12]

But in 1896 she took matters in hand and accepted a position as a housekeeper for a widower in South Dakota, bringing other two of her daughters. On 27 Jan 1899, she then married the widower, Arthur E. LaBrie

In between Fall of 1894 and 1896 after her husband abandoned her, Mary Angele applied for a housekeeper position with widower Arthur LaBrie in South Dakota and moved there, taking two of her daughters. They later married.

Death

Mary died on August 21, 1950, in Turton, South Dakota, at the age of 88, and was buried in Minneapolis, Minnesota. [10] [4]
