Biography

Elijah was born in 1756. He was the son of Isaiah Van Zandt and Margaret Thompson. He passed away in 1807.

His father Van Sant, Isaiah was a grand Juror and he rendered aid to the Continentals in Virginia. He served as a Soldier in Captain Smith's Company in Botetourt County Militia in 1783. His wives: 1) Maria Guyon 2) Margaret Thompson. Children listed Sarah who m. James Crawford, George who m. Elizabeth Hutchinson, Joshua who m. Mary Morris, Elijah who m. Elinor Wilson. ^[1]
