Biography

William was born about 1762. He is the son of Samuel Harris and Abigail Larcom of Beverly, Mass^[1]

In 1763, he emigrated to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia along with his family^{[2] [3] [4] [5]}

On December 21, 1786, he married Martha Rose, daughter of Richard Rose, another Yarmouth Grantee^[4], and their children included:

1. William, born December 18, 1787, who married Sarah Moses, daughter of William^[4]
2. Edward, born January 7, 1789, who married Margaret Morill, daughter of Moses^[4]
3. Martha, born September 28, 1791, who married Jonathan Harris, son of David^[4]
4. Mary, born November 10, 1793, who married Thomas Churchill, son of Ephraim^[4]
5. Susanna, born September 12, 1795, who married Joseph Morill, son of Moses^[4]
6. RIchard, born September 5, 1797, who married Mary Moses, daughter of William^[4]
7. Abigail, born August 23, 1799, who died young^[4]
8. Edith, born August 17, 1801, who married Alexander Bain, son of Alexander^[4]
