Biography

Early Life

Barbara was born in 1791 to John Francis Seymour St. John (1761-1832) and Frances (Fleming) St. John (1762-1853). She was Christened on 8 May 1791 in Worcester, England[1].


Family

Barbara first married John Baker of of Waresley House, Worcester on 29 March 1814 at St Michael, Bedwardine, Worcester. They had no issue before John died later that year on 19 November 1814 [2].

She secondly married John Balguy on 1 May 1819 in Spondon, Derbyshire, England[3]. The marriage was announced in the Lincoln Rutland and Stamford Mercury newspapaer[4]

Death & Legacy

She died on 28th June 1856 and was buried in St Alkmund's churchyard in Duffield on 5 July. [6] [7] Her obituary was recorded in the Worcestershire Chronicle [8]
