Mary was born 18 February 1790 in Washington County, Southwest Territory (now Tennessee) to Joseph W. Britton and Margaret Jones,[1] She married Samuel Jones 26 January 1809. They had six known children. She passed away 20 August 1829, possibly in Clark County, Ohio, where her youngest child was born.[2] The 1830 census shows Samuel still living in Harmony, Clark, Ohio, with his children and several unidentified young people but no wife.[3]
