Alonzo was born in 1912. He is the son of Alonzo Watson and Betty Marcell.

9/20/1976 - Page 9 - The Akron Beacon Journal ALONZO L. WATSON Alonzo L. Watson, 73, of 2132 S. Arlington Road, died September 18 at Akron General Medical Center, after a long illness. Born in Decherd, Tennessee, Mr. Watson lived in the Akron area for 34 years. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company with 23 years service. He was a member of the Yusef Khan Grotto, Star Lodge No. 187, F&AM, and Church of Christ. He was also a Mason. He is survived by wife, Odell Sawyers; daughter, Mrs. Samuel C. (Faydelle) Schott of Akron; sisters, Mrs. George Childs of Wheeling, Illinois, Mrs. Albert Jehle of Montgomery, Alabama, Mrs. W. R. Waxler of Hot Springs, South Dakota, grandson, David Schott; two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Schermesser Funeral Home, where friends may call Monday, 6 to 9 p.m. Rev. Lloyd D. Barker officiating. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park.
