Biography
Arabella was born in 1811. She was the daughter of Hans Hastings and Frances Cobbe.
She married George Augustus Frederick Brooke (son of Sir Henry Brooke, 1st Bt. and Harriet Butler) on 25 April 1833.
They had the following children:
- Florence Selina Brooke (d. 25 Mar 1915)
- Letitia Georgiana Brooke (d. 18 Oct 1906)
- Brig.-Gen. Henry Francis Brooke (b. 3 Aug 1836, d. 16 Aug 1880)
- Captain Arthur Thomas Brooke (b. 1840, d. 5 Apr 1893)
- Colonel George Hastings Brooke (b. 21 Jun 1842, d. 5 Apr 1922)
- Brig.-Gen. Lionel Godolphin Brooke (b. 19 May 1849, d. 10 Jun 1931)
- Rt. Hon. Francis Theophilius Brooke (b. 1851, d. 30 Jul 1920)
Her husband died in 1874.
She passed away in 1899 at the age of 87.[1]
