Annie and her second husband, Bernard, had many children. In fact, the 1910 U.S. Federal Census indicates Annie gave birth to thirteen children, four of whom were still alive at the time of the census.[3] The four who were still alive in 1910 were Edith Magdelaine (1882-1935), Joseph Patrick (1885-1955), Florence C. (1890-1954), and Bernard Francis (1891-1961).
To date, records have been found for the following children:
"Child" (unnamed and unknown gender), was born in West Warwick, Rhode Island in 1875 and died 9 February that same year.[4]
Mary was born on May 30, 1876, in Pontiac Village, Warwick, Rhode Island, and she was christened the same day. Mary passed away on June 9, 1877, in Rhode Island when she was 1 year old. [5][6]
Francis was born June 7, 1878 in Coventry, Kent, Rhode Island. Francis died in 1879 in Fall River, Bristol, Massachusetts.[7][8]
Patrick was born in January of 1880 in Fall River. Patrick passed away on September 14, 1883 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.[9][10]
Edith Magdelaine was born on December 28, 1882 in Sturbridge. Edith married twice and had many children. She died in 1935 in West Warwick, Rhode Island.[11][12]
Joseph Patrick was born September 9, 1885 in Sturbridge. He also married. Joseph died 28 December, 1955 in Southbridge, Massachusetts.[13][14]
Florence was born 9 January, 1890 in Southbridge. She married as well. She died on 10 January, 1954 in Southbridge.[15][16]
Bernard Francis Jr. was born November 20, 1891 in Southbridge. Bernard married as well. She died September 22, 1961 in West Hartford, Connecticut.[17][18][19]
The 1875 Rhode Island State Census records Bernard and Annie living in Warwick, Rhode Island. Bernard's occupation as a Card Grinder while his wife is working as Speeder Tender at a Cotton Mill. [20]
Annie, husband Bernard, and son Patrick are found in the United States Federal Census in 1880 living on Chapin Street in Fall River, Massachusetts.[21] Bernard is working in the Cotton Mills while Annie is keeping house.
Bernard passed away on April 28, 1900, in Southbridge, Massachusetts at age 50. The Death Record from Massachusetts, Death Records, 1841–1915 lists the cause of death as "exposure" and his occupation as "laborer." This record also lists his parents as Patrick Greely and Mary Sheehan, both parents being born in Ireland.
Annie is recorded just months later in the 1900 Census living on Union Street in Southbridge, Annie's marital status is listed as "M2," indicating she had married twice. Massachusetts.[22] Annie is working as a Washerwoman. Her four living children are all at home with her. The two older children — Edith and Joseph Patrick — are working in the mills as wool carders; the younger two children — Florence and Bernard — are listed as students.
