Biography

Eliza Winchester was born in 1812 probably in Holden, but registered in Brewer. ^[1] Her death certificate names her parents, and also states she was born in Orland, Maine. ^[2]She married Wentworth Ginn as his second wife in 1846.^[3] Wentworth was the son of Abraham Ginn and Hannah Downs. His father was son of James Ginn, one of the early settlers of Orland, Maine, a ship builder, who built at least one brig and two schooners at his mill in that town.Wentworth married twice. His first wife was Lenity D. Ridley, who went by Leanor.

In 1860 Wentworth was 50 years old and a farmer in Orland, Maine. ^[4]They were living in Orland with They had eight children in Orland, Maine, including. I have not found a burial site for Wentworth or Eliza. Wentworth's mother and his first wife Leonora Ridley are buried in Hilltop Cemetery in Orland, Maine. Eliza died in 1894.
