Elizabeth was the oldest child of Sheldon and Frances Smith and she had 12 younger siblings. [1]
Elizabeth's name is included on the family monument in Smith Cemetery along with her parents and some of her other unmarried siblings. "ELISABETH URANIE, 1854-1873". [2]
Research Notes
Her middle name is spelled Uranie on the gravestone[2], but it was probably actually Urania after her father's mother, Urania (Aborn) Smith.
The gravestone says she died in 1873[2], but A Standard History is probably correct that "Elizabeth died in 1871."[1] She is excluded from a family photo that was taken before her brother Simeon's birth in 1872.
