Born on Aug. 30, 1920, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, he was the son of the late Cloyd Richard and Margaret L. (Smith) Colyer. On Dec. 30, 1950, he married his late wife, Ruth V. (McNemar) Colyer, with whom he shared more than 38 years of marriage, until she preceded him in death on Feb. 12, 1989.George Colyer was a lifelong farmer, who farmed the farm owned by his family since 1790. During WWII, he worked for the Pa. Railroad, Enola, and later, for H.P. McGinley, McAlisterville.
George was born in 1920. He was the son of Cloyd Colyer and Maggie Smith. He passed away in 2016.
