Biography

Timothy was born in about 1755 and christened on 5 February that year in St Mary's church, Reading. His parents were Timothy & Elizabeth.^[1]

His wife was Elizabeth Dolland^[2] (paper refers to her diary but gives no proper reference - I'm shocked -the author is an Oxford academic!)^[3]

Timothy Tyrrell was the City Remembrancer of the City of London from 1794 until his death in 1832 .^[4][5]

He was the son of Timothy Tyrrel of Reading, Berkshire. He was apprenticed to John Underwood, and admitted to the freedome of the city by servitude.^[6]

In 1810 he was Master of the Worshipful Company of Upholders, a City of London Livery Company.^[7]
