Biography

Mary was born in December 1851 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Willis Womack and Phebe Green.

She passed away in December 1920 in Blount County, Tennessee^[1] and is buried in Cades Cove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Cades Cove, Blount County. ^[2]

Mary married first W H Lawson on 11 January 1890 in Blount County, Tennessee.^[3]

Mary married second as second wife Andrew Witt Shields on 19 October 1898 in Blount County, Tennessee.^[4]
