Biography

Jeremiah Harden was born about 1780. He was the son of Presley Harden and Susanna Williams. He married Elizabeth Click 3 January 1821 in Jefferson County, Alabama.[1] He passed away about 1828.

1821 29 December rec 14 June 1822 John Harden (1775-1846) of Williamson Co to Jeremiah Harden of Williamson County, $500 70 acres on Big Harpeth River. [5]

1828 21 October recorded 27 Apr 1829. Jeremiah Harden to Alfred Gee Land on Big Harpeth River 154 ¾ acres, $1550[6]

1828 24 Nov: Jeremiah Harden Will made, presented to court January 1829. In the name of God Amen. I Jeremiah Harden in sound mind and (unreadable) hath this day the Twenty fourth of November one thousand eight hundred and twenty-eight make this last will and testament as follows viz. I give to my beloved wife Elizabeth (Click) Harden (abt.1790-) after paying all legal demands all my real and personal property to dispose of as she thinks proper among my children viz. Susan Taylor Harden (abt.1822-),John Click Harden (abt.1823-1849), Peter Harden (1824-1903) and Margaret Jane Harden (5-44) as they become of age or marry and at her deceased to be equally divided among my children and further it is my desire that John Click Senr and John Click Jr should be my Executors to this my last will and testament. Given under my hand seal the day and date above written. Signed and sealed in the presence of Jas Harrison Thomas Merritt Signed: Jere Harden. January Court 1829, January 7, 1829 executors approved and will filed.
