Hannah Ellison (b. 25 Dec 1780; bp. 10 Jul 1785 Jarrow-on-Tyne, co. DUR - d. 01 Feb 1846 Edinburg, Scotland), is the eldest daughter of:[1][2]
Henry Ellison, esq. (bp. 09 Dec 1734 Gateshead - d. 20 Oct 1795 Bath, co. Somerset) of Hebburn Hall and Gateshead Park, co. Durham,[3] High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1734.[2][4]
and Henrietta (bur. St. Nicholas, Newcastle, co. Northumb), dau. of John Isaacson of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.[3][2]
According to Thorne (1986), this branch of the Ellisons were, "associated with Newcastle-upon-Tyne for over two centuries."
Hannah is said to be a paternal descendant of Robert Ellison, sheriff and M.P. for Newcastle.[4]
Siblings
She had seven (7) siblings, including a pair of fraternal twins.[2]
Her first husband John, was the son of Ralph Carr (who purchased Hedgeley in 1786).[8]

Hannah remarried years after her first husband died to a sheriff of Kincardineshire in Scotland.[1][2]

Death
Hannah died in Edinburg, Scotland but was buried at Whickham, co. Durham on 10 Feb 1846.[1]
