John Holman was son of Philip Holman of London and Warkworth in Northamptonshire, and his wife, Mary Pearte, daughter of John Pearte, fishmonger of London. [1]
On the 25th of September 1659 he married Jane de la Fortree, daughter of Jocab de la Fortree of Greenwich in Kent. [1] Their daughter, Mary, was their only child. [2]
With the restoration he was returned to Parliament as member for Banbury in 1661, to both parliaments of 1679 and again in 1681. [3] He was created Baronet Holman of Banbury on the 1st of June 1663.[4]
John died in 1700 and was buried at St. Benet Fink in the City of London on the 22nd of May. [1] This Wren church was demolished in 1846. [5]
