Abraham was the second son of Edward Orpen and Eleanor Connor.[1]
He matriculated at Trinity College Dublin on 7th November 1796 aged 16. B.A. 1801[2]
Abraham married firstly Eliza Wall, daughter of Garrett Wall, Archdeacon of Emly, and widow of Michael Smithwick, in 1807.

They did not have any children and Eliza died in 1827.
Abraham married secondly Martha Chatterton in 1828.[3]
Abraham died in 1836, his will included bequests to:[4]
Elizabeth was actually the wife of Herbert Massey Hutchinson.
