Biography

Therese Allary was a Canadian First Peoples and member of the Metis Nation.

This profile was created as part of the Connect-a-Thon Challenge weekend, July 2019, by Morgan Mulligan.

Marie Therese Allary was the daughter of Pierre and Genevieve (Zaste) Allary, born 1877 in Manitoba. She married John James Brown on 13 Nov 1897 at Christ Church, Winnipeg. John James was the son of James & Mary Brown, born 1867, a farmer.

In 1911 they were living at Baie St Paul. One of their children was Mary Marguerite born 11 April 1900 at St Eustache, although censuses say Baie St Paul. She died June 1976 in Surrey BC.

Mary, the daughter, married Frank Fisher Campbell at Winnipeg on 14 Nov 1917 by a Presbyterian minister at 111 Royal St. Both of them lived then at Marquette. Frank was born 19 June 1890 at Selkirk; his father was from Ontario and his grandfather from Scotland. Frank died after Mary, and probably after 1978, in BC. They divorced at some point and both remarried; second spouse names are not to hand. Their first child and only daughter was Stella Marguerite Campbell. At least 4 boys followed. Stella married several times. Her second husband was Harold Evans born in Portsmouth, England circa 1911. This marriage was about 1946, in Vancouver area. They had a large family and the eldest child was a son Herbert born 4 May 1947. He married several times as well and had at least one son. I am this son's mother.
