Biography
Elizabeth Strode was daughter of William Strode of Newnham [1] and his wife, Mary Southcote.
She married Edmond Speccott of Anderdon in Cornwall, son of Humphrey Speccott and his wife, Elizabeth Walter. [1] They were parents of five sons, Edmond, Nathaniel, William, [1] John and Humphrey. [2]
Edmund died on the 6th of May 1620. [1]
Elizabeth died, probably in 1628. Her will, which was proved of the 16th of May 1628, mentions the following family members:[2]
my eldest sonne Edmond Speccott
my father Sr William Strode
my brothers[-in-law] Sr George Chudleigh, Sr ffrancis Drake Baronette and John Davie Esqe
my eldest daughter Elizabeth Speccott
my second daughter Mary Speccott
