Biography
Élisabeth was born in 1818 to Charles Bruguier and Sophie Mercier.
In 1845, she founded the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa, also known as the Grey Nuns of the Cross.
She passed away in 1876.
In 2018, Pope Francis declared her a Venerable Servant of God, the first step toward possible sainthood. [1]
