Josiah "James"Lloyd Lee was born on 8 Sep 1879 in Choctow, Alabama, United States, son of Thomas Jefferson Lee (1839 - 1919) and Elizabeth Jane (Canty) Lee (1850 - ~1890).^[1]

November 30, 1912 he married Jeffie Elred in Rapides, Louisiana.^[2] The couple had two children:

1. James Lloyd, Jr.,b. 1914, and
2. Randall Leonard, b. 1915 (Note: find a grave has his birth as 1916, memorial manager notified)

Jeffie Blanch died 26 Oct 1915 in Glenmora, Rapides, Louisiana, when her son was ten days old.^[3]

James, age 32 married Louise Tisha Conley (1900 - 1996),^[4] age 17 on 28 Jul 1917 in Calcasieu, Louisiana,^[5] In 1920, they lived in Beauregard, Louisiana^[6]

In 1930, he had moved his family to Jasper, Jasper County, Texas, where he was a Restaurant Proprietor and brother George, did laundry, assuming he did this to support the restaurant.^[7]

James married Eva Marie Buller(1890-1985) widow of David Marcantel, (d. 1927.) ^{[8][citation needed]}

James died on 4 Nov 1962 in Iowa, Calcasieu, Louisiana aged 83. His burial is at Indian Village Cemetery, Kinder, Allen Parish, Louisiana.
