Queen (Reed) Spence was a Tennessean.

The 1860 United States census records: John A (45) and Nancy (45) with children M C (17), I B (16), N C (14), and L F (7) are living in Fosterville, Tennessee. Last name is recorded as Rud instead of Reed. [1]

The 1880 United States census records: Barton (56) and Zuene (28) with children John A (9), Nancy F (7), and Vedara (2) are living in District 14, Rutherford, Tennessee. Queen's father, John A Reed (64) is living with them. John is a widower. Queen's niece, Green F Overstreet (15) is also living with them. [2]
