Towards the end of his time there he fathered his first child (a daughter) who was born to an Okinawan woman in 1959. I do not believe that Albert was ever made aware of her birth. His first daughter was named Mayumi (Mimi for short) and she is my first cousin once removed. I connected with Mimi through 23andMe DNA back in 2019, when she began searching for information about her father. Just thought I would share this extra little bit of information for the official WT record. ;) I know that I can speak for the both of us when I say that Mimi & I are both so happy to have finally learned about our previously unknown ancestry... it connected both of us to the Parr family, and indirectly connected us to one another as well.

The problem is that I can't remember where I found it, in order to confirm it is him and ask permission to post it. I'd like to go ahead an post it though, since he was family & you, Josh, can let me know if it is him. I can also remove the photo if that is warranted. His sister, Lucille, was my grandmother. I never got to know any of the family though because I was adopted and raised by my maternal grandparents... now that I am an adult I am learning about my paternal side {My birth father was Lucille's son, Daniel Gonzales}.

I am very happy to finally be learning about my paternal family. Do you think that I should remove the photo or leave it posted? I don't want to violate any rules/copyrights and/or make anyone on WT upset.
