Biography

TRIMPER, Lulu Mae - Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown, formerly of Clementsvale, Annapolis Co., died February 12, 1998, at the age of 85. She had been a resident of Mountain Lea Lodge since 1992; actively took part in many of the lodge activities, and will be sadly missed by the many close friends who grew to love her during her stay there. Born October 29, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Avard and Hazel (Banks) Robar. She was very active in Clementsvale Baptist Church; was a member for over 60 years, and served as secretary in the 1970s. Many of her other activities included being a member of the sewing circle for 50 years, as well as receiving 50-year pins, both as a member of the WMS and Elta Rebekah Lodge, Bear River, where she served as past noble grand. Surviving are daughters, Lillis and husband Junior Peck, Greenland; son, Keith and wife Jeanne, New Germany; grandchildren, Lynn, Christina, Timothy; sister, Marie Wilson, Clementsport; brother, Gordon Robar, Cornwallis Park; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Denton in 1994. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Clementsvale Baptist Church, Rev. Barry Dickson officiating, assisted by Dr. George Allen and Jim Bent. Burial in Clementsvale Cemetery. Donations may be made to the activity fund c/o Mountain Lea Lodge or Clementsvale Baptist Church.
