Biography

Sarah was born in 1910 in New Jersey. She was the daughter of Louis Miles and Catherine Stockton. ^[1] She passed away in 1997 in Massachusetts. ^[2]

She married Charles Poor Kindleberger on May 1, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland. ^[3] He was the son of Evertson Crosby Kindleberger and Elizabeth Randall McIlvaine. ^[4] Charles was was an economic historian and author of over 30 books, and a leading architect of the Marshall Plan after World War II.^[5] They had the following children:

1. Richard Stockton Kindleberger was born in 1942 in Maryland.^[6][7]
