Biography

Mazie was born in 1878.

She married John in Snyder County, Pennsylvania on 05 May 1896.^[1]

In June of 1900 Mazzie (22) resided in Perry, Snyder, Pennsylvania with husband John F (23) along with children Florence E (3) and Charles N (1) at her mother in law's home, Sarah A (63).^[2]

In April of 1910 Macie (32) resided in Perry, Snyder, Pennsylvania with husband John Shaffer (33) and children Florence (13), Charles (11), Mearle (8), Raymond (6), and Roy (9 months). John's mother Sarah (72) is also living in the home.^[3]

In January of 1920 Mazie (41) resided in Perry, Snyder, Pennsylvania on Richfield and Oriental Road with husband John F Shaffer (42) and children Raymond (16), and Leeroy (10). John's mother Sarah (82) also lived in the house.^[4]

In Apr of 1930 Maizie (52) lived in Perry Township, Snyder County, Pennsylvania with husband John F Shaffer (53) and son Raymond (16).^[5]

Research Notes

Birth certificate of child Leroy Sheaffer shows mother's middle name is Gelnett. It also shows Leroy is the 5th child and 5 children were living at that time.^[8]

Marriage Application for Mazie and John shows that her mother's name is Elizabeth.
